It is mandatory to have a cookie policy for the Service. However, some laws such as the ePrivacy Directive and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) require Service to detail their use of cookies to users. To comply with these laws, websites need to provide its users with the following information:

      1. What cookies the site uses
      2. Why they use those cookies
      3. Who provides the cookies (aka the cookie vendors)
      4. How users can set their cookie preferences.

This can be done by dedicating a section of your privacy policy to cookies, or by having a separate cookie policy.

    3. b) REJECTION AND DELETION OF COOKIE
    4.

      1. You can choose to reject or block all or specific types of cookies set by virtue of your visit to a Shell website by clicking on the cookie preferences on our website(s). You can change your preferences for Shell websites and/or the websites of any third-party suppliers by changing your browser settings. Please note that most browsers automatically accept cookies. 5. c) AVOID INVASION OF PRIVACY
    6.

Understanding the importance of privacy of our individual users, we have set out some compliances and ways to evade the invasion of privacy:

      1. The Service through cookies will have transparent policies and will make clear options to people about how their personal information is stored, used or transmitted. This will increase the informed choice for our users about their consent for any such activity, proper usage of the internet space freely. Thus, we will always suggest individuals before viewing the Service to read the terms of this Policy and cookie policy, because providing the consent of an individual for collecting such personal information is very important as that gives us the permission to collect and utilize such information.
      2.

      3. Cookies are small data files stored on your hard drive through our websites. We always suggest our individual users to delete them after they complete browsing to protect their privacy. Cookies have become almost essential when browsing websites, but we should all be concerned about this particular technology as a compromise to the privacy of the individual using it.
      4.

      5. We provide a simple means of disabling the targeting of advertising using behavioral data. It is a legal requirement under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) to inform the individual when information is to be stored on their equipment, for example in the form of a conventional cookie, a Local Shared Object or flash cookie, and to give them the opportunity to refuse this.
      6.

      7. As mentioned above, you can reject, delete or opt-out of cookie policy by the measures mentioned hereinabove.
      8.

    7. d) HOW ARE COOKIES USED
    1. Cookies and ad technology such as Web Beacons (defined below), and anonymous ad network tags help us serve relevant ads to you more effectively. They also help us collect aggregated audit data, research, and performance reporting for advertisers. Pixels enable us to understand and improve the delivery of ads to you, and know when certain ads have been shown to you. Since your web browser may request advertisements and web beacons directly from ad network servers, these networks can view, edit, or set their own cookies, just as if you had requested a web page from their site.
    2.

    3. Although we do not use cookies to create a profile of your browsing behavior on third-party sites, we do use aggregated data from third parties to show you relevant, interest-based advertising. We do not provide any personal information that we collect to advertisers.
    4.

    5. You can opt out of off-site and third-party-informed advertising by adjusting your cookie settings. Opting out will not remove advertising from the pages you visit, but, instead, opting out will result in the ads you see not being matched to your interests. This implies that the ad(s) you see will not be matched to your interests by those specific cookies.

    5. WEB BEACONS

Web Beacons” (also known as image tags, pixel tags, clear GIFS or web bugs) are small pieces of code used to collect advertising data, such as counting page views, promotion views or advertising responses. Web beacons or similar technologies may be used to various purposes, including, without limitation, to count visitors to the Service, to monitor how users navigate the Service, to count how many sent emails were actually opened or to determine whether content sent was actually viewed.
